FO Friday!
Check it out!! After seeing Jackie's hat for her boy, I had to make one too because her son looked so dang happy with his!! It's the Skull hat for Mr. Jake. It turned out a weeeee bit to big and when he wears it I somehow think of Gilligan from Gilligan's Island. Odd...I know. But he likes it. He likes it a lot! He even SLEPT with it last night. How's that for making me feel good??? He's so awesome. As long as he's happy! I think I'm going to check my stash and make a black and pink one for my niece. Hopefully I can get it done for Christmas.
I didn't have enough of the dark blue yarn to finish the top of the hat off, so I just winged it and make a little band and voila this and voila that, a finished hat! (haha that sounded funny)
I'm still working on the Olive Branch Yoga Hoodie and loving how it's coming out. I'm working on one of the sleeves right now. I do have a question though....It says to knit until it's 18" inches long. Ok... 18" inches from where? the Underarm or the Shoulder?? Good thing is I can slide it on up to my shoulder and see how long it's getting. Maybe one day next week I'll put up an in progress pictures of the hoodie.

Great hat! I may make one of these for my bro-in-law for Xmas, if I have time. (OK, you can stop laughing now...)
OMG I love that he slept in it! It came out awesome!
I love this hat too - it's in my queue but...it's a long queue lol. Love the band you subbed in, very clever! Great when the boys appreciate the handknits, isn't it :)
Okay - I've been thinking of knitting a hat for my son and this one seems almost perfect. Wonder how it will look in variegated camo/hunter day-glo orange?
As for the sleeves - the measurement is probably to the underarm since you'll probably do shoulder shaping next (when in doubt, I usually read ahead in the instructions which can sometimes make things a bit clearer).
luv mo
The hat looks great! I really like the way the crown (where you improvised) came out. See, you are raising 'em right when the knitwear doesn't even come off for bed! LOL
That hat is so friggin cool! As for the knit 18 inches...I'd suggest "knit until it fits". But that's just me. ...or just you if the sweater is for you! Hugs, K
I'm glad your son likes the hat, though I am not sure you captured that pure joy in the photo you blogged. I too like the part you improvised.
Great hat! As always.
GREAT hat! Looks so nice in blue!
This is awesome! I think I want one in black and pink :D or maybe brown and orange!!!
