The other day Jacob was playing a surfing game on the computer. I was sitting at the kitchen table doing some knitting or beading or something (that's not important).

Jacob: "Mom, was there surfing way back then?"
Me: "Way back when?"
Jacob: "Way back then.."
Me: "Jacob, you have to give me a time frame so I know what time you are talking about."
Jacob: "Oh .... you know...... The 80's."
Me: silence.......*insert rolling eyes too* "Yes Son."

Happy 12th Anniversary Brent!

Brent and I were married 12 years ago today at Southside Baptist Church in Louisville, KY. We had a beautiful wedding with LOTS of friends and family there. It was a beautiful day!
Some songs that were played at our wedding was:
If By Bread
Beautiful In My Eyes By Joshua Kadison
(Now don't laugh) The Forrest Gump Theme Song - yes I'm serious. It is a beautiful song.

Tina, my best friend, was my maid of honor. Priscilla and Sheila were the brides maids. Chris, my brother in law, was the best man, and Scott, my brother and Mike were the groomsmen.

Some funny useless information: We still have a can of spinach in our cabinet we got at our "Pack the Pantry" shower. I doubt we'll ever eat it, but it has moved from house to house with us! We are on the last can of Morton's Salt from that shower too!! We got a lot of salt! LOL We didn't have champagne on our wedding day.. Oh no we forgot that.... So we used Orange Chek Cola!! Romantic eh? Instead of throwing rice or birdseed, we had our friends blow bubbles as we left the church.
Happy Anniversary Brent... I Love You!

Now if you're in the mood to hand out anniversary wishes. Head on over to Heather's blog and wish her and her Hubby a happy anniversary! They invited us to their house for Thanksgiving our first Thanksgiving here in NH. We found out we got married the Same day, Same year! How cool is that! Happy Anniversary Heather and Jim!

Long post here...might wanna grab a drink. And don't forget to check the mini-contest at the bottom of the blog!! Ya gotta do it!
So I've finished the knitting part of the Bar Harbor Shell bag. I have felted the bag and I cord handles (thank you Gina! She knit one of the i cords for me) Now to line it (I think) and attach the handles...I think. I say I think because I had a dream about the handles last night. I was in a car with Donna (blogless sadly) and Heather and we were talking about the bag and handles. Donna had found some CUTE handles...$40 for the pair!!!!!!! Ack In your dreams (or rather mine!)!! You're kidding..can you say HELLO I-CORD HANDLE!!!??? Below is the bag after felting.

It has also been a not so fun end of the week for Mr. Bean. Poor Nathan...this kid is going to grow up to be so dang tough with all he is going through!! This week we've been battling the "itchies". He has had an allergic reaction to something. The pharmacist says, "All I can offer is my sympathy." And he suggested oatmeal baths too. Nathan's been a trooper. Alaskan Goodies!!!!! (or guilt blog post, you pick *grin).
My mother pointed out in an email to me that I failed to mention if I got my goodies from her from her trip/Cruise to Alaska!! OH did I get goodies!!! She sent me some fabulous fabric to make some cute bags out of.
Check it out!! A knitter on the fabric! Cool!
I also received some yarn!! Wonderful awesome fabulous colored yarn and a pattern! The yarn and pattern are from Raven Frog Fiber Arts handmade in Sitka, Alaska. The color is called "River Bed" and it's merino yarn with some silk/merino roving. I can't find a web site for this yarn but here's the Mailing address if you really need to get some for yourself!
Raven Frog Fiber Arts 1321 J. Sawmill Creek Rd. Sitka AK 99835 Phone #: 907-747-4500
I got a cute pair of socks!! Brent got a funny pair of boxer shorts but for some odd reason he won't model them for the camera. Sorry girls.
Total cuteness came with the shirts and socks the boys received. I thought the Alaska shirts were cute. Jacob received one too, but he's worn it already and it's in need of a washing. :)
The socks are too cute too!! Nathan's been wearing the all blue socks and he keeps calling them his "Big Bad Wolf" socks. I think it's cute!
Thanks Mom!!! We loved everything!! Even the shot glass that is for collecting dust...yeah right mom...because we don't drink at all here. *wink wink* Maybe the boys and I can do kool-aid shots later. ::giggle::

One of my Kentucky knitting Sister's entered some of her work in the Kentucky State Fair. She entered 3 pieces and received 2 ribbons.

CONGRATS HOLLY!!! (click here to take a look)

Now jump on over to her blog and check out the pictures.

I'm still knitting along on my Bar Harbor Shell Bag. I hope to have it finished soon with some pictures. I'm also working on a pair of Jaywalker socks with some Lorna's Lace in Purple and Green. SOOOOO pretty!

Yesterday Nathan and I went to Newbury, Mass for a Fiber Revival. There were spinners out the wazoo there. It was a beautiful day and Nathan got to pet an alpaca (he kept calling them llama's, hey he was close!), he saw a horse and a couple goats and a bunny. Julie and Pattie, from Yarn Sellar, were there and Pattie took him on a little walk and they saw a turkey and a chicken. Later when Chris and Ericka showed up Nathan had to take Chris and show him the turkey. I didn't take my camera since the batteries died. I originally went for Heather and support for her, but dang if she didn't need it.....her booth was FOREVER busy!!!! HOW WONDERFUL! So I ended up enjoying the company of Chris, Ericka, Patti and Julie and watching Nathan enjoy a day outside on a farm. He was awesome!

I hope the amount of links makes up for no pictures....maybe next time. :o)

I GO INDIGO!!!
WOO HOO!! Last night I went with my buddy Melissa to a Brandi Carlile/Indigo Girls Concert!! (Eat your heart out Eenie and Scruffy! haha) It was awesome!!!!!!!!! Melissa and I got there early and got in about an hours worth of knitting and people watching. :) A couple drinks and we were ready to go!
Brandi opened the show. I just have to say the Twins, Phil and Tim, that play with her are SUPER CUTE!! The twins just looked like they were having SO MUCH FUN!!
After Brandi was the Indigo Girls. This was my first Indigo Girls concert and I had a great time.
Below is me leaning against the wall...oops I mean the gal that kept backing up into my space. I planted my feet to see how far back she'd come... Well..at one point I was kinda leaning on her!! haha!!! I honestly don't think she noticed. Thanks for taking a picture Melissa, no one would have believed us! Don't I look a little sneaky??
This little cute guy greeted me every time I went to the bathroom. Someone drew him on the bathroom stall door and I just thought he was the cutest thing with his ice cream! Yum.
I too two short video's last night so here they are below if you're interested in listening.

Best wishes to Ericka and Chris for a happy life together. :)

Happy Birthday Scott (my brother) Above is the R2 D2 hat that I made for Scott. He received it today in the mail and liked it a lot. Said he was even wearing it ( and it was like 100 degrees outside there today!) I also found one of those musical cards that was Star Wars related and sent that too him too. I could hear him opening it over the phone. I told him to have my SIL, Amber, take a picture so I can have one with him in it.

Yarn, glorious Yarn. Friends, Glorious Friends!! I just don't know which is better. :o) Yeah...the friends. The knitters from the ManchVegas "Knitting Practice" group totally gifted me for my Birthday!! Let's just say .... lots of sock yarn, awesome patterns, and great friends. That's what I got for my birthday from these knitters. Thank you, Ericka, Chris, Sarah, Laurin, Denise, Melissa, Amanda, Mike, Gina, Jackie, Gaye, Marion & Caroline. Did I miss anyone? If I did, I thank you too. (I'm going by memory of who was around the table and signed the card.) [editted to add:}OMG KICK ME!!! AND HEATHER!!!!!!! Some of her hand dyed yarn, insence, highlighters (Nathan loved those!), coasters and other goodies!!! Thank you HEATHER, too!

I am not afraid to admit that I am 18 for the eighteenth time. Yeah, you figure it out...it took two teachers to help me figure it out after one sip of a Makers and Coke. I never was good at math.

I also received a surprise gift I was NOT expecting. This came from Sonya!! She made me a beautiful Stole from the Radiance Lace Headband pattern that Gina designed (hop on over to her blog and buy yourself a pattern!!). It was a HIT by everyone. I think everyone took a turn wearing it (dang but it was cold at Dave's)First on the hit list is Ericka, modeling the left shoulder of the stole.Next we have Jackie. She wore it for a while...so coooooold in Dave's.

And the designer, herself, tried it on and modeled it. We all love it Sonya...great job!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME.
