So today I was going to share some pictures with you. Pictures from Sonya and I going out last night, and pictures of mom's finished socks. Yes I *WAS* going to show you. BUT 1. I forgot to put the little memory card in the camera after downloading them on mom's computer, so the pictures are stored on the internal memory on the camera, 2. I left the camera cable at home (duh), and 3. I have no clue if I can transfer the pictures from the internal memory to the little card..... SO as soon as mom downloads pictures from her camera I can show you her socks. Awesome.

Anyway, Sonya and I went out last night. You know what we look like...look a few post down. We went out to O'Shea's Irish Pub and had some Hot Pepper Cheese Balls and Sonya had a Salad too. My friend Carl was there playing, so we had a good time listening to him and chatting with him about songs and such. He pulled some obscure 80's songs out of no where!! Sonya knew them but (guess what Gina!) I didn't!! Sonya and I tried to help him through the lyrics of "Fire and Rain" We did pretty good. I googled the lyrics today and we mixed a couple verses up. But we got the general idea across. I don't think the drunkards knew otherwise. LOL
OMG YES I have to mention this. THE SMOKING BAN IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! I love it! I came home smelling just as I had when I left to go out!! haha... I did not have to wash the smoke smell from my hair after a night in a bar!! How awesome is that?!?
Thanks for a fun night out Sonya and Carl. :) I love Louisville. :)
Manchvegas girls......be ready to help me get my NH mojo back...I'm going to be home sick for sure! haha

Happy Day after 4th of July!! We had a wonderful holiday and for the FIRST time ever our kids played with sparklers! Jacob has never been interested in fireworks and still doesn't care much for them, but this year he was brave and tried the sparklers!

Nathan thought the sparklers were cool too.
The boys (and Honey baby, the dog) stayed in the house at the in-laws house while we shot off fireworks outside. They chose to watch from the window. After the in laws we headed over to our old stomping ground and hung out with some friends. MAN I miss these people! I'm so excited we are all going out on Saturday night! Brent is just a regular jungle gym for the kiddo's!! And finally, MY knitting. I have been working on some socks. This is yarn from Heather of Sereknity Yarns. I *think* it's the Belladonna?? Anyway I LOVE how the pattern is POPPING out on these!! I did this in the blue Wildfoote yarn for mom and the pattern wasn't as obvious! These will look awesome when finished!! I finished one sock on the way here to KY but I'll wait and get a picture of it when the second one is done (on the ride back to NH)

Sonya blogged about mom's socks. MAN she's moving along!!! Did you see? Doesn't she look SUPER happy to be doing two at once!!! Again this is Heather's Yarn from Sereknity.
Below is me and the beautiful Miss Olivia (Sonya's cool daughter!) That's our good friend Jill in the Orangey/Red shirt on the right.

OH yeah..Manchvegas gals!! Thanks for the message on my cell phone last night!! Who was that hollering at Brent in the background?!? LOL I miss you all too!! I called Gina today and talked to her for a bit! It was nice to hear her voice. Hey Melissa, how did Lincoln do with the fireworks?? I'm not sure how he'd react!
Nathan has been asking to come home! Back to New Hampshire!!! I'm glad he now considers that home. The other day he said "Mommy, I want to go home...to NATHAN'S Home!" I was like...awwww..Not yet kid! LOL
My brother's family and my menfolk and I are all off to Walmart tonight to the Portrait Studio to get a "family" picture taken for Mom. Her one request while we're here. How can we say no when she's letting us stay at her house and at this VERY MOMENT making brownies with peanut butter in it!! yum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday Brent and I met up with our friends Sonya (and her two boys) and Priscilla (and her two kids with a friend taggin along. the more the merrier!) Here's Sonya and I sitting in the shade. The bridge behind us will go under construction soon to be a pedestrian bridge and you can walk from Indiana to Kentucky across the Ohio River. Won't be catching me on that too soon!
Jacob (in the green shirt) Eli (Blue shorts) and Alex (back to us, I think that's him) were digging a serious hole and filling it with water in the sand box area.
Here's a shot of Jacob bringing more water. The water park is behind him and that's the same bridge that I spoke about above. Far in the back ground is Indiana, but we're still in Kentucky. Today we had the joy of relaxing at a friends house who had an awesome pool!!! Jacob and Nathan were like fish in the water all day! Nathan was in from 1-4pm constantly.....only got out to pee and take ONE bite of a cracker. Check out Jacob jumping in the pool!!! FUN FUN.
Most of the day we had the pool to ourselves. Some of our friends family showed up and it was great to see them. Even got to see a little one that was born right around the time we moved to NH that we never saw. CUTE!!! (Jackie I need ANOTHER suitcase! you're slackin' girlie)
I went knitting tonight with mom and Sonya. We had a great time and I'm going to snag some pictures from Sonya. She took some tonight since my camera card was full of pictures. I've downloaded all my pictures to mom's computer to burn later for the trip home. So watch for more pics.

Hello all

Things are going GREAT in KY. We have FINALLY made all the rounds and have seen all the grandparents and most of our friends.

The big news around here is Jacob has lost 3 teeth in the ONE week we've been here. The first one came out at the zoo and the other two came out last night during a pillow fight with some friends. Yeah SERIOUS pillow fighting people here, my friends!
Still trying to figure out a way to bring this little cutie pie home. Jackie, where's that extra suitcase???
For some ODD reason my hubby has a strange spell over us Probus girls. Lacey and Lana are as "twitterpated" (reference from the movie Bambi, remember??) with him as I am!!

There's a tad bit of knitting going on when I get a chance to sit down. Mom is rocking along on her two socks on one needle. She's about to turn the first heel. I'll get pictures soon. She's using Heather's Breakfast at Tiffany's Sport yarn. SOOOOO SOFT.

Until next time.

BOY IT'S HOT!
We've been in some kind of water, I think, EVERY DAY we've been here. The humidity is something we don't miss! We are having a ball though. Mom and dad's back yard will be the prettiest green from all the time playing in the sprinkler!

On the swing, laughing and having a good time (L to R) Jacob, Lacey & Luke
Running through the sprinkler.....Somehow Lana (the wee one) always timed it where she would run across the sidewalk when the sprinkler was not on her. It was too funny. She still managed to get wet somehow. That's my brother in the back, Scott.
Brent helps Lana with a small step to the sidewalk. Man he has to seem like a giant to her! (He's the tallest one in the family.) I know, Jackie, I know....I'm trying to make room to get her in my suitcase!!!And knitting with the girls!!! (L to R) Stacy (bun in the oven), Me, Tabitha, Holly and Sonya. Mom and Ruth and Olivia were there but I guess this was taken after Ruth left. :*( We didn't meet at our regular scheduled place, but we REALLLY liked this new coffee shop. I had a Wild Berry Green Tea Smoothie....Oh My GOODNESS it was goooooooooooood.
oh Wait! there's Olivia's head sticking up under the date there...see it..yep she was there. I bet Sonya will have pictures on her blog.
Until next time.............. :o)

You Are a Pinky

You are fiercely independent, and possibly downright weird.
A great communicator, you can get along with almost anyone.
You are kind and sympathetic. You support all your friends - and love them for who they are.

You get along well with: The Ring Finger

Stay away from: The Thumb

Downright Weird?!? Who would have thought!!??!!? Um...don't answer that...thanks.

FO FRIDAY!!

I made this dishcloth for Jacob's teacher.
Pattern: Knits By Rachel
Yarn: Sugar 'n Cream Cotton
Knit on size US 6 needles.
Started June 13th about noonish
Finished June 13th about 11:00pm at Famous Daves with the knitting group.

Never...I mean NEVER a dull moment!!

Saturday was WWKIP day (world wide knit in public day). I met with some of my Manchvegas knitters and we knit in the rain. I took Nathan with me and let him puddle jump...and MAN did he have a blast! Gina and Melissa and Ericka I think have pictures on their blogs (in my links over there ------> )
Sunday, the little stinker got out of the house with out us knowing!! Once I realized he wasn't in his room and I saw the back door open I FREAKED RIGHT THE HECK OUT!! Long story short, he's safe, he's home with me and LOCKS ON DOORS HAVE BEEN CHANGED so he can't unlock them!! I swear I thought I just might die if I didn't find that little guy!
Tonight...oh yes, there's more. Apparently our neighbors are in a little "tiff" and the boyfriend thinks it's ok to sit in the street and honk his horn and yell into the house at his girlfriend at 10:15pm. Niiiiiiiiiiice. And the boys room windows are right by the action. So I had to explain to the boys that they are safe, the neighbors just have bad timing for fighting. I hope they rest peacefully now that I explained to them what was going on. Our neighbor next door came out and confronted the guy at his car. So I doubt he'll be back..... Here's hoping.
Not much knitting wise to show. Maybe next time. :) Sorry there are no picture this post. I just haven't felt like blogging since the scare Sunday.

I did a bit of sewing today. This is the final month of Secret Pal 10 and I an working on getting my secret pals last package together. So far, below is what I have. A handmade (by me) Pirate Tote Bag (pocket inside too), a little zippered size purse (by me again) that holds some Pirate Stitch markers (yet again made by me!) Some Yarn, Magallanes 100% wool (hand dyed by Araucania Yarns-Chile) that's the green skien on the right, and the purple on the top is Atacama 100% Alpaca (hand dyed by Araucania Yarns-Chile). Cool eh? I'm looking to find some other little things to stick in there too for the final package for my secret pal. It has been a fun round and who ever is spoiling me has done a great job!! Now off to find some other little things I just remembered I bought for the final package!! Glad I remembered. :)

And since them's thar pirates above..here's me pirate name.

My pirate name is:

Mad Morgan Kidd

Every pirate is a little bit crazy. You, though, are more than just a little bit. Even though you're not always the traditional swaggering gallant, your steadiness and planning make you a fine, reliable pirate. Arr!

I finished a couple hats. Ok ok ...one hat and one wanna be hat. The first finished hat is the Lillehammer hat from http://www.cidermoon.com/ Done with Knit Picks Merino Style in Storm ( 23464) and Fog (23450) (two weather elements that fit together perfectly, as do they in this hat!)
Here's a picture of the top. This is supposed to be for Brent. I hope it will fit down over his ears like it does on Jake.
Now this poor hat below....I mean come on...doesn't Jakes eye's speak volumes of the atrocity of this hat?!? This is the Jughead hat from DomiKNITrix, and OBVIOUSLY I have done something wrong!!!!!! Seriously WRONG!
I do believe this hat will go in the toy box for them to play with! It is also knit in the Knit Picks Merino Style yarn Fog.
Below is my mother and her Bob sweater from www.magknits.com I think she did a great job on the sweater! Good Job Mom!
Over the weekend I went with some of the Manchvegas knitters to Maine. We had a rip roaring good time! Donna (blogless) drove and Gina, Melissa and I tagged along in her car. Chris and Ericka also went and took their car. A few sassy gals from Yarn Cellar in Maine met up with us and went too (Julie, Patty and Brenda [I think that was her name, if not there's always the edit option to fix that!]) We met up with Amy from Spunky Eclectic. Gina took a lot of pictures and has some on her blog so check them out. Here's one I snagged from her of me learning how to use a drop spindle. Thank Melissa for letting me try your drop spindle and getting things going backwards for ya...after all what are friends for!??! haha

OH Secret Pal....I am bad, I forgot to thank you for the last package you sent!! You can ask my fellow gals I knit with how happy I was because I was showing off my yarn you send BIG TIME when I got it!! The Chocolate Hedge hogs are long gone! haha!!
My pal send me this Mohair & Blue Face Leicester. It has a pattern on it for soft mittens/socks, AND it is from Halifax, Nova Scotia!!! How cool is that! Secret Pal...is this local yarn made by someone you know? Here's a link on the label if anyone is interested (and knowing some of you, you are!) http://www.fleeceartist.com

Over the Holiday weekend we went camping. We had a blast!! I'll post a couple pictures today and then some more tomorrow. I took like 75 pictures, I promise not to post all of them... I'd be posting forever! LOL Here's a picture of the boys swimming. TOO COLD for mommy! Self Portrait of me and hubby
Jacob and his knife. See it in the tree. Brent was teaching him how to handle the knife safely. The friends we were camping with and Brent were throwing the knives at the trees. Brent gave Jacob a try and this was the outcome. Hit the tree pretty good!! He was tickled. Note: all knives in the house have been hidden now, and a HUGE discussion about how there is no knife throwing allowed unless we were camping and daddy was standing RIGHT beside him to supervise. We're not THAT Crazy people, come on!
And Spagettio's were ate!! Camping's not complete with out a little Spagettio's sauce on ya, right?! :)
And I faced a fear of mine. I walked across this rickety bridge with train tracks on it. Now listen, we got half way across the bridge and looked back at the start of the bridge and there stood our dog Lincoln. He was NOT coming on the bridge....that should have told me something right there!!! Brent had to go back and put the leash on him and practically drag Lincoln across. I thought I'd be the one that would need to be leashed to get across. The boys were bouncy and bubbly the whole time walking across this silly bridge, making it MORE worrisome for me. Brent's laughing the whole time knowing I'm about to freak right the heck out!! But I got across.
Now for the Secret Pal 10 Contest...Post your unfinished projects. Geez, thanks Robyn...now I'm going to be going crazy to try and finish this stuff and hubby will know there's NO reason to buy yarn until these are finished. haha just teasing.
Above we have the Lillehammer hat from Cider Moon. (Free Pattern!! Go get it now!) Very easy knit for beginning color work. I'm enjoying it greatly!!! This is the second hat I've made from their free patterns. I hope to have this hat done today!! It would be great to have a FO to post for tomorrow.
Above, um.. well... uh.... OK..This. Yeah I don't know either. Started so long ago I have NO IDEA what this is supposed to even be!!!!! But it's on the needles so I guess it counts. I may rip it out and save that yarn for something else. haha
Above the BEAUTIFUL Lady Eleanor from the book Scarf Style. Why is this not finished?? Um it's a BIG PROJECT!! But it's being left out, now that I pulled it out and I'll start plugging along on it now again. I want it done for Fall. Surely I can finish it by then?!? LOL
And another Hedge Hog started. Not done because I picked up the Lillehammer hat first. He may be a project I take with me to Kentucky this summer.
